Job Description:
An Automotive Decal and Wrap Technician, also known as Automotive Graphic Installer, is responsible for applying digital prints, decals, and wraps to automobiles. They use specialized equipment and tools to create high-quality, custom designs that meet the client's needs. The technician must have knowledge of various materials and techniques to ensure that the finished product is long-lasting and visually appealing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to determine design requirements and preferences
- Create digital designs and prints for application to automobiles
- Use specialized equipment to prepare the surface of the automobile for decal and wrap application
- Apply decals and wraps to the surface of the automobile, ensuring high quality and long-lasting adhesion
- Work with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Troubleshoot issues that may arise during the installation process, such as air bubbles, wrinkles or tears
- Maintain equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new materials and techniques for automotive graphic installations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with digital printing and automotive graphic installations preferred
- Ability to work with various materials, including vinyl, adhesive, and paint
- Proficient in using specialized equipment and tools, including heat guns, squeegees, and razor blades
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills to work with clients and team members
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in various weather conditions
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
